You taught me I wasn’t the only one,
You taught me that my pain mattered,
You taught me that I mattered,
You taught me how to channel my emotion,
And make something beautiful from the pain.
You were there for me when nobody was,
You absorbed my anger silently.
You screamed with me and for me.
When I didn't know how to express my pain,
Or have a voice to scream out in pain
You were there… You taught me how deal with it all.
You did all with a smile and without complain.
Despite dealing with your own demons you battled mine too.
Thank you for being there each time I called,
Walking with me and carrying me when there was nothing left in me.
Thank you for everything and I’m sorry.
I’m sorry my words aren’t enough to give you the praise you deserve.
