We oogle so many things with google that we don't even see the doodle,
Poodles and noodles but no time to say toodles to the people that matter.
Life has become one digital fantasy and like King Kong we sit in the middle,
Towering over the digital jungle, trying to find the next tree to swing to,
The next trend to talk about, the next cause to support,
Or the the next person to call a monster!
But somehow we fail to see what's in front of our eyes.
Like the pothole in front of us, that could’ve been avoided,
If we weren’t reading about road safety.
Or that man that jumped off the bridge that we were passing by,
If we weren’t tweeting about #DepressionIsReal
The trash all over the place that causing clutter,
If we weren’t signing a petition to stop global warming.
Do we control the machines or do they control us?
Do they help us or do we help them?
The matrix is coming true!
