Let Spiderman out of his cage!

Dear Sony,
I have no clue if this letter will get where it should and you probably receive letters from geeks such as me on a daily basis but I will continue to write it for the sake of my sanity and for the one in a million chance that this letter will actually be read by whoever is concerned.

Firstly I have been a Sony fan all my life, I didn’t have a Walkman, but I started using your phones when I was only 17 years old and I have never looked back. I can still recall the models off the top of my head and recall the good times I’ve had with each phone. The artists you sign, the products that you make and the films that you produce are amazing, I am yet to see Sony create a something that I will label monstrosity, something Snakes on a Plane bad. Wait did you guys make that film? If you did sorry, but getting back to the point, 90% of the movies you guys produce are pretty epic! Yes you guys aren’t market leaders in anything but you are right up there with the big boys, well done, well done, keep up the good work!

The reason for me to write this letter and take the one in a million chance that this letter I share publicly will go to the right hands is to trying and persuade you with the future of Spidey. Again, I know I’m just a another geek who’s written to you trying persuade you on what to do a franchise you own and have every right to do whatever you think is fit based on your research and analysis, but here me out...this won’t take too long and I won’t start pitching you fan fiction, I promise.
The Amazing Spiderman missed its mark by a long distance, the villains chosen were amazing but you overstuffed the movie, Plain and simple. I won’t go deep to analysis because I’m pretty sure you’ve read it and heard it all from EVERYONE else. But Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, brilliant choice! Give yourselves a pat on the back for choosing that dynamic duo. You can contemplate and have conferences all you want on what to do next with Spiderman but let’s face it, returning Spidey to Marvel is the right thing to do. You know it in your hearts, No matter how much you try and no matter how good the next Spiderman film will be you will never get the same exposure and response you will get if you play nice with Disney. Disney cannot do anything wrong right now… they made a movie about a freaking talking raccoon and a tree who has the Hodor disease and the still made a crap load of money.

After you were hacked (which was really sad) the rumor mill has been going berserk with stories of you actually communicating with Disney and the talks breaking down, the rumor only caused the entire nerd universe to all lose their minds, every nerd literally had an orgasm, which is a organic reaction no company can ever re-create. Period. After the Amazing Spiderman 2 failure this was exactly the breath of fresh air need to pump life back in to the Spiderman franchise. All eyes are on you to see if the rumors are true and we get to see Spiderman geek out with Ironman or share the dynamic chemistry with Hulk which has been built so well in the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon series, which is amazing! Everybody wants this to happen, I mean literally everyone, and I know you want it too and you are literally bubbling with excitement with just the possibility of Spiderman appearing in the same screen as the Avengers.

If Spidey actually crosses over to the MCU, your legacy as a company and Spiderman’s legacy will be etched in to history till the end of time and your effort to give people what they want and deserve will be always remembered, that’s a guarantee. Don’t be the spoilt sports that didn’t let poor Spiderman play with the avengers over money, people will never forgive you, and the geek universe will go to whatever they can to ruin your company forever. It won’t be so bad for a company of your size, I’m pretty sure this won’t be such a big blow, I mean it’s not like people will start throwing away their Sony devices and not buying anything you guys make, that’s just my imagination running wild. But don’t be the villain and bully people because you can. Rise up to this occasion and show the world you can play nice with the other kids, do what’s right for us, the customer’s, the people who are loyal to you and make sure you guys get rich.
Okay, so the letter ended up going a bit longer than I thought it would, sorry about that, but Give the people what they want and let us see Spiderman join the Avengers!

Yours truly,
All Marvel and Spiderman fans
