Wrestlemania 31 predictions

We are mere hours away from the Worldcup of the wrestling, the biggest event in wrestling and sports entertainment. Love it or hate it, no other event can come up to the level of Wrestlemaniaaaaa!!!!!! Entire years are spent building up these story lines…. Careers are made and destroyed at this mega event. The best examples that can be used are The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels…..easily 2 of the greatest wrestlers to cement their names in the history books as legends at the grandest stage. Wrestling fans are going wild with speculation on who will and the rumor mills are going crazy. Here are my predictions from what I've read so far

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Winner – Damien Mizdown
I’m gonna go with Damien Mizdown here simply for the fact that he’s been getting a huge pop from the audience. Winning the Andre The Giant Memorial will be perfect to help him break away from The Miz and re-launch his singles career.

Tyson Kidd & Cesaro (c) vs. The New Day vs. Los Matadores vs. The Usos [WWE Tag-Team Championship]
Winner – The New Day
They have been building up the New Day for quite some time now, I think it’s time they slap some gold on them now.

Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins
Winner – Seth Rollins
This one is a no brainer, their building up Seth Rollins quite strong. Rollin’s next feud is with Roman Reigns, hence Randy Orton will put him over.

Rusev (c) vs. John Cena [WWE United States Championship]
Winner – John Cena
They've been trying build up the United States Championship and Intercontinental Titles for some time after they combined the Heavyweight and WWE belts, the first to doing that is giving them stronger holder’s and higher value matches. Hence Cena will this match and most of the top superstars will compete for this belt. A lot of people won’t be happy with this given that they've really built up Rusev as a very strong Heel, but you have to admit that in the long run it’s better for the belt, who better to give the United States Championship than the most patriotic member of the WWE?

AJ Lee & Paige vs. The Bella Twins
Winner – AJ Lee & Paige
Not a lot of buzz going on about this match, which is a shame really, all of the participants are brilliant wrestlers who complement each other very well.

The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt
Winner – The Undertaker
The rumor going around is that they're trying to build up The Undertaker strong after his loss to Brock Lesnar for Wrestlemania 32 where he’s supposed to take on none other than Sting. WWE are trying to break the record for largest audience for a sports event and where better to do it in Texas with one of the biggest matches of the decade… Undertaker vs. Sting!
Another rumor going around is their trying to get Stone Cold Steve Austin to go up against Undertaker and The Rock to face off Brock Lesnar. Fingers crossed! Any of these 3 matches happen and I’d be over the moon!

But for this year we'll have to settle for The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt, which will still be a stunning match. Bray Wyatt will carry most of the match given that The Undertaker is quite old and isn't as fit as he used to be… the plan is he sets his eyes on next year for a strong match to end his career.

Ladder Match: Bad News Barrett (c) vs. R-Truth vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Stardust vs. Daniel Bryan [WWE Intercontinental Championship]
Winner – Daniel Bryan
Same as the United States belt their giving the Intercontinental belt a face lift. Just like John Cena was the face of the last generation Daniel Bryan is the face for this generation whether WWE like it or not. Also Roman Reigns was getting booed big time after Daniel Bryan was kicked off early in the Royal Rumble and Roman Reigns went on to win it. The plan to build up Roman Reigns was set in motion some time back and Vince isn't going to budge on changing the result of the match this time, hence their putting the Intercontinental belt on Daniel Bryan.

Sting vs. Triple H
Winner – Sting
A big star like Sting wouldn't say yes to a match in the WWE after so long unless he comes out of the match looking strong. The initial plan was that Sting would join WWE for one match and one match only which was to be against The Undertaker and him winning the match. Sadly The Undertaker isn't at the best health to bear the load of creating a classic match; hence Triple H will be taking his place.
The rumor going around is The Undertaker will challenge Sting for a match at Wrestlemania 32 on
the post Wrestlemania RAW.

Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns [WWE World Heavyweight Championship]
Winner – Brock Lesnar
The initial plan was for Roman Reigns to win this match and take his place as the new face of the WWE. Vince has a type on who he will build up, he wasn't happy changing the main event title match at Wrestlemania 30, which Batista was supposed to win and parade around Hollywood while attending to his movie duties, but because of the crowd backlash towards Batista the match was changed to include Daniel Bryans. When Roman Reigns won Royal Rumble and suffered the backlash of Daniel Bryans being eliminated and not winning the event some people thought he’d fold and add Daniel Bryans to the match to get a good crowd reaction. That won’t happen this time. Vince was hell bent on making Roman Reigns the new face of WWE until Brock Lesnar extended his contract with the WWE recently. There were rumors Brock Lesnar would drop the belt to go back to UFC, but Vince was able to seal the deal after Brock stormed off on RAW a few weeks’ backs where he was supposed to make an appearance. Apparently he wasn't happy with some of the choices Vince had made. Once Vince did seal the deal a new plan was set into motion, i.e. Lesnar would retain the belt at Wrestlemania and drop it Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules or Payback, at which point Seth Rollins will cash in his Money in the Bank contract which is supposed to expire on 1st June and Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will start a feud for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt.

Vince is also supposed to have a few tricks up his sleeve, Hulk Hogan will be at the event for sure, and so will Arnold Schwarzenegger. I'm guessing Batista, Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley and Ric Flair will also drop by for a cameo. The Rock will be in attendance for sure.

Hopefully my predictions are right and let’s all hope and pray for an epic Wrestlemania 31!
