WWE Superstars Invading Hollywood

If you are or were a WWE fan at any point of your life you'd be interested to know that quite a few WWE Superstars have started infiltrating Movies and TV. So far we've had Stone Cold Steve Austin in the Condemned, The Great Khali in the Longest Yard, Hulk Hogan in Rocky 3, Batista in Guardians of the Galaxy and The Rock in quite a few movies being the most successful of the bunch. You have a few that got the push but didn't really make it like The Miz (The Marine 3), John Cena (12 Rounds), Triple H (The Blade) and Kane (See No Evil).

During the next few years we are going to see quite a few WWE Superstars in some popular TV shows and movies. So without without further adieu here they are
Randy Orton
Randy Orton will be appearing in The Condemned 2: Desert Prey. The Condemned 1 featured Stone Cold Steve Austin and was quite the success. Randy Orton has ventured in to movies before, his previous hit being The Marine 2, which was really a hit.

Randy Orton took some time off to shoot this match and he's back at the WWE and faced off with Sheamus (who's next on our list) at battlegrounds.
Sheamus
Sheamus who took a break from Wrestling to film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, where he will be appearing as Rocksteady. Sheamus returned to WWE at the end of March with a new haircut (which kind of suits him) and a mean streak and currently is the Money in the Bank contract holder. I'm guessing they will make him WWE champion close to the day Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles release to get maximum exposure to the WWE.
John Cena
John Cena has dabbed his hand in to quite a few films and a few TV shows. Being WWE's golden boy he was cast in such films as The Marine, The Reunion, 12 Rounds, a small stint on Psych and Parks and Recreation TV shows but nothing that has really stuck as a solid performance. Cena is actually filming quite a few films currently but the one in my opinion that can give him a break is the comedy Sisters starring Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
Dean Ambrose
WWE's Lunatic Fringe a.k.a Dean Ambrose will be starring in 12 Rounds 3. The franchise has mediocre success up to now with John Cena and Randy Orton headlining the first 2 installments, but Dean Ambrose's crazy and menacing presence might be just what it needs to revive this franchise and turn it into a commercial success.
Adam Copeland a.k.a Edge

The rated R superstar a.k.a Edge is set to appear on The Flash as the Atom Smasher in the new season.

As you can remember Edge was forced in to early retirement due to health reasons and made a surprise visit to help his friend Christian to claim the Heavyweight Championship a few years back, since then he's been keeping it quiet low key until now. He did however make a comeback on RAW to promote the Dudley boys last week
Batista
Batista was a well known wrestler until he debuted as Drax the destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy (GOTG) (Which happens to be one of my favourite Marvel movies of all time). After is rave success in GOTG we will be seeing Batista as Mr. Hinx in the next James Bond movie.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
Rocky seems to be in every film these days. His critical success in the Fast and the Furious franchise has opened several doors for him and he is right now one of Holywoods must see superstars (Pun inteded for the Miz who I will not be mentioning in this article). If you've not already watched it check out his try at TV on HBO's hit comedy show Ballers. Rocky is also going to star as Black Adams in DC's film Shazam, set to debut in 2019.
Bonus
Celebrities have always been welcome in WWE as chance to cross sell their product, the latest Superstar to do so and actually wrestle was Arrow's on Stephen Amell. It looks like he's training to do a few more matches being a life long fan of the WWE and being in very good health and also given the fact he does most of his stunts on his show.
